Roasted Whole Garlic
  1. Heat Oven to 350°. Cut a thin slice off the very top of each garlic head to expose tops of all cloves. Place each head in its own ramekin dish or you may place them in a baking dish together ( make sure they are sitting upright). Pour enough oil over each head to cover. Making sure to pour directly into heads. Sprinkle each head with salt and pepper. Place 2 Bay Leaves and 3 sprigs of Thyme on each head. Cover with foil. Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Garlic should be soft and tender. Do not rush the cooking process, older garlic may take longer. Drain and save oil, discard Bay Leaves and Thyme Sprigs. You may want to us a knife to dig Garlic Cloves out of head or use a napkin and squeeze out the garlic onto a plate. * If you like the taste of garlic, you will be pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Roasted Garlic. Be sure and pair with Toasted Bread.
